Ana Holck (1977) lives and works in Rio de Janeiro. Her career began in the 2000’s, with large-scale installations, among those: “Elevados”, at Paço Imperial (2005), “Bastidor”, at CCBB RJ (2010) and “Splash”, at SESC Pinheiros (2010). Among her most notable solo exhibits are Entroncados, Enroscados e Estirados, at Paço Imperial, Rio de Janeiro (2023), “Perimetrales”, at MdM Gallery, Paris (2013); “Perimetrais”, at Zipper Galeria, São Paulo (2012); Ensaios Não Destrutivos, Anita Schwartz Galeria, Rio de Janeiro (2012); “Os Amigos da Gravura”, at Museu da Chácara do Céu (2010). Among the collective exhibits are: “Coleção Edson Queiroz”, Fortaleza (2016); “Edital Arte e Patrimônio”, at Paço Imperial (2014); “Mulheres nas coleções João Sattamini e MAC Niterói” (2012); “Lost in Lace”, at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, England (2011); “1911-2011 Arte Brasileira e depois na Coleção Itaú Cultural” at Paço Imperial (2011); “AGORA simultâneo, instantâneo”, at Santander Cultural, Porto Alegre (2011); “Trilhas do Desejo, Rumos Artes Visuais 2008/2009”, at Itaú Cultural (2009); “Borderless Generation: Contemporary Art in Latin America” at Korea Foundation, South Korea (2009); and “NOVA ARTE NOVA”, at CCBB RJ and SP (2008/2009). The artist has works in the public collections such as Itaú Cultural, Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo, MAM Rio, MAM São Paulo, MAC Niterói, among others. She is also featured in the newly-released book “Remains – Tomorrow: Themes in Contemporary Latin American Abstraction”, organized by Cecília Fajardo-Hill. Ana Holck graduated in Architecture and Urban Planning from FAU/UFRJ (2000), and holds a Master’s degree in History from PUC-Rio (2003) and a Doctor’s degree in Visual Arts from EBA-UFRJ (2011).
