BIOGRAPHICAL HIGHLIGHTS
1934
Birth of Edward Baran in Lesko, Poland.
1955-1961
Studied at the School of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
1966
Arrives in Paris to join his wife Maria.
1973
The couple settled in Mougins, on the French Riviera.
1978
First papers hollowed out. Exhibition at the Anne Roger gallery in Nice.
1979
The Fond National d'Art Contemporain buys a work from him. Participates in the exhibition Atelier Aujourd'hui, Contemporary works from the collections.
1979-1980
Teaches painting and tapestry at the School of Fine Arts in Angers. They settled in Blaison, on the banks of the Loire.
1980
Participates in the group exhibition Art d'aujourd'hui I, Ordrupgaard museum, Copenhagen. The exhibition presented the new trends of French painting.
1981-82
Exhibition Thread, paper, space at the museums of Aix en Provence and Angers.
1985
Exhibition Edward Baran: 1975-1976 at the National Gallery of Tapestry and Textile Art in Beauvais.
1989-90
Retranscription during several years, in painting on paper of the work of James Joyce "Finnegans Wake".
1997-1998
Series of Stampings.
