Livre ouvert 15017,

Livre ouvert 20211, an artwork of Tanguy Tolila

In every Tanguy Tolila's canvas, there is a very specific line — its signature — also called « lifeline ». It symbolizes a man's journey: the line moves, hesitates, bypasses, accelerates, stops and starts again; wandering the material and its imperfections. The artist loves working over aged supports like old cover books, scores, or nautical charts.
